The American Billing Association was built by billing operators — people who spent more than two decades working denials with major commercial payers, managing AR recovery programs for practices with Days in AR above 60, navigating DME prior authorization requirements, and building billing teams from scratch in high-turnover environments.
Every guide on this site is grounded in that operational experience. The benchmarks, the denial statistics, the prior authorization workflows — they reflect what our team has observed working real accounts across real payers, not what a textbook or analyst report described from a distance.
