The ABA Editorial Board

Guides and benchmarks on this site are reviewed for operational accuracy before publication. This page lists who does that review — and how experienced billing professionals can join the board.

Board Members

The board is being formed. Founding reviewer seats are open now — see below. Until named reviewers are seated, all content is reviewed by the ABA editorial team against the process documented in How We Work and Data Sources & Methodology.

+

+

+

The Role

Review 1–2 Guides per Quarter

Check drafts against practice reality: do the timelines, payer behaviors, and workflows match what actually happens? Roughly 2–3 hours per quarter.

Get Named Credit

Reviewed guides carry a "Reviewed by" credit with your name, credentials, and a link to your LinkedIn profile — visible to every reader.

Shape the Roadmap

Board members vote on which guides, benchmarks, and tools get built next, and get early access to the annual industry survey data.

Board Independence Rules

  • Reviewer seats are unpaid and carry no commercial obligation of any kind.
  • Reviewers are never asked to endorse any product, vendor, or service — including ABA's operating partner.
  • A reviewer's dissent on any content is resolved before publication or noted in the guide.
  • Reviewers may resign at any time and have their name removed from all content within 7 days.

Join the Founding Board

If you hold a CPC, CPB, CHBME, or equivalent credential — or run billing operations day-to-day — email hello@americanbillingassociation.com with your LinkedIn profile and a sentence about your billing background. Founding members are credited permanently as founding reviewers.
