Guides and benchmarks on this site are reviewed for operational accuracy before publication. This page lists who does that review — and how experienced billing professionals can join the board.
The board is being formed. Founding reviewer seats are open now — see below. Until named reviewers are seated, all content is reviewed by the ABA editorial team against the process documented in How We Work and Data Sources & Methodology.
Open to certified coders and billing leaders (CPC, CPB, CHBME, or equivalent operational experience)
Open to practice administrators and RCM directors with hands-on denial and AR management experience
Open to compliance professionals with HIPAA and payer-audit experience
Check drafts against practice reality: do the timelines, payer behaviors, and workflows match what actually happens? Roughly 2–3 hours per quarter.
Reviewed guides carry a "Reviewed by" credit with your name, credentials, and a link to your LinkedIn profile — visible to every reader.
Board members vote on which guides, benchmarks, and tools get built next, and get early access to the annual industry survey data.
If you hold a CPC, CPB, CHBME, or equivalent credential — or run billing operations day-to-day — email hello@americanbillingassociation.com with your LinkedIn profile and a sentence about your billing background. Founding members are credited permanently as founding reviewers.
